Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I am about to buy my wife a pair of new skis. She only skis groomed runs (100% piste skier) and I would say she is "average" (intermediate). She has no problem skiing steeper runs, but always skiis at slow/medium speed (not an "aggressive" skier at all).
I was advised to take a closer look at the Rossignol Famous 6 or Famous 8 since these are supposed to be good easy turning carving skis (the range includes Famous 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10).
Anyone who has tried Rossignol Famous 6 and/or Famous 8?
What is your experience from these skis?
Any other piste oriented skis you could recommend?
Many thanx!!

From what I've read, as an average Intermediate, she would be better with the 6. It's supposed to be a fun, easy ski, with reasonable headroom for improvement...and good value.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have the Rossignol Temptation 80, very easy to ski and good on piste. Have a look at those as well. The waist width of 80 means they cope pretty well in boot-deep snow as well.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Many thanks, all!
