Travelling back Saturday morning and would like to avoid border crossing on A93 is possible. If we go through Kufstein is this possible. Thank you

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

We did the border crossing on 17th Feb, and there was no checkpoint in place.
To be sure, take the 171 from Endach through Kufstein town centre to Kiefersfelden to avoid the autobahn completely until you are in Germany.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We did it in early January and even though we were not stopped the traffic was down to one lane which made for a very slow and long journey. Thank you. Will try that route.

Two lanes and free flowing 10 days ago, until we got to the A8/A99 junction...

Kufstein will be rammed on Saturday with all of the Dutch who don't want to pay for a vignette going home.

Vingette only €10. Tight gits.
So A93 or not. Plan on leaving Soll around 5am

It is a massive problem every weekend in the winter season, not just Dutch but the Tirol is full of them now. We even can have Wörgl blocked with cars coming from Alpbach and Zillertal.
Most of the Dutch traffic will be following your route until you turn off the A9 north of Munich. There are some alternative routes but they involve very minor roads via Bayrischzell. I guess leaving at 5 you should be ok, keep an eye on Google maps live traffic.
This was last weekend http://www.tt.com/panorama/verkehr/14056490-91/geduldsprobe-für-autofahrer-kilometerlange-staus-in-tirol.csp Copy and paste as snowheads forum doesn't seem to recognise ü as part of a website address.
Hopefully everything will be Ok.

You can take the long way around by heading up towards Innsbruck and then going past the Aachensee and in to Germany. Or even more extreme head past Innsbruck and drive via Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Traffic will be bad on all routes on Saturday morning heading up in to Germany, so maybe best to just plan with a delay.

You could go via St Johann and Kossen then meet the A93 at Oberaudorf. No border checks at all. But it’s a bit of a long way round from Söll.
