Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kilian Jornet skis down Europe's tallest rockwall

Trollveggen in Norway; 1600m high, average pitch is 60 degrees.

The Catalan is the first person to ski down it.

Jornet is a phenomenon; well-known in Spain of course, though I don't know if he gets much press elsewhere. From Wikipedia:

Quote:
He is a six-time champion of the long-distance running Skyrunner World Series and has won some of the most prestigious ultramarathons, including the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, Grand Raid, the Western States Endurance Run and the Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run.

Jornet holds the fastest known time for the ascent and descent of Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, and Denali.

He didn't exactly dawdle on his two runs up Everest either; on the second, last year, he was up and down in 17 hours without assistance, ropes and oxygen.

[And yet, as one of the commenters on that Nevasport article points out, take a look at the sports pursued by the winners of the Laureus World Sports Award: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laureus_World_Sports_Award_for_Sportsman_of_the_Year ... the media observes sport through such a narrow prism.]
