Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Poster: A snowHead
10 lrish lads in twenties going to Val Thorens at the start of March. Will it be still busy from the holidays?

We are staying in le sabot de venus apartments - have heard it can be quite loud at night?

Half of us are beginners but we have the full 3 valleys pass, will we get the use of it?

Also keen on a party any do/don't and recommendations welcome! Very Happy

Week 25 Feb -3 March is half-term for two-thirds of France (inc Paris), so will be busy.
Week 4 - 10 March is half-term for one-third of France, so slightly less busy.
Week 11-17 March has no French holidays, so should be relatively quiet.

There are at least 3 passes available for Val Thorens: Val Thorens / Orelle only; Belleville Valley only (i.e. adding Les Menuires & St. Martin), or full 3 valleys (adding Meribel & Courchevel valleys). I doubt complete beginners would get full, or possibly any, value from a full 3V pass. Quite possibly you won't even get to Les Menuires, so the Val Thorens / Orelle only pass would be sufficient. There may also be more restricted beginners passes available, limited to certain lifts, which could be sufficient for the first few days. If you are having lessons, and plan to spend the other half of the day practising on the same slopes you are taught on, then check with your ski school which pass you need.

If you progress really quickly, you should be able to get 1-day extension passes to cover a wider area.
