Very subjective - I guess you could say when you've happy linking turns down reds. But like Dan says who cares - as long as you're having fun that's the main thing!

I started to call myself an intermediate skier when i could turn on them.I called myself an advanced skiier when i could turn in both directions.I am now a super advanced skier because when the right time comes i can stop on them.
As for boarding,i have done the same apart from the fact that the wife is now a super-super boarder because she has learnt a whole set of tricks. Her favourite being the face plant!

Yes i do, anyway you're just jealous cos you cant actually sit in the middle of a piste, instead you have to 'stand around' in big groups in the middle of the piste. Either that or specifically look for something to jump off, go around it and wait just the other side. When politely asked to move you'll probably go on a tirade about how you paid your lift pass like everyone else and have every right to stand where you want insted of being considerate and moving 20m down the piste.
