Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@foxtrotzulu, @Old Fartbag, Three short blasts cause appropriate embarrassment and bring to heel.

At the risk of being a party pooper, 3 blasts equals a signal for, "I need help" to some nationalities.

When I first started skiing I found it a pain balancing my skis on one shoulder whilst trying to walk any distance in my ski boots so I bought a pocket ski sling, and I've used it every holiday since. It pops into your inside goggle pocket when not in use.

Its a blue pocket, that you put the base of the skis into, you can also put the poles into it too (handles down), then use the long strap to clip them all together over the bindings. I thought it was a great idea and it works brilliantly, but they seem to have gone out of business as I cannot find a picture of it on the internet anywhere. Laughing

I still use it even now, here is the only picture I can find of me using it, when climbing to the peak of åreskutan in Sweden.

I got the missus the red one, and she hardly ever used her's either, it was only this year when we were in Are (again) that we realised why - the red pocket one has much shorter straps for going around the skis above the bindings, so you can't fit the poles in, so she has never really taken to it as she has to carry her poles anyway.

I'm now inspired to borrow the kids sponge bob square pants walkie talkies to save any bar faff ( on my part at least). However im not sure the call signs Sponge Bob to Patrick will be cool enough, what do you suggest Maverick to Goose or would iceman be better?

This usually works for me...'I want a [insert food & drink of choice] and I want it now, BY ORDER of the Peaky Blinders snowHead

In my dreams.

Are we now saying a peaked cap with razor blades sewn into the peak are now a n indispensable ski gadget? Cool
