Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kranjska Gora on a budget advice please!!

Apologies if this isn't posted in the correct part of the forum but it seems right Smile

My wife, 4 year old and I are heading to Kranjska Gora in a month and we really have a tight budget. We've manage to get an inexpensive package for flights and accommodation but was wondering what the most inexpensive way to pay for lift passes and ski hire is? Should we arrange them in advance before we go? Is there ski hire out of the main town which is more cost effective? My 4 year old and wife will be needing lessons, any recommendations?
I'm a rock climber and have stayed in the resort during summer and restaurants, supermarkets etc have always been great value for money, is this still the case through the winter months?

I appreciate any advice or tips thanks Smile

I went tgere a couple if years ago with Crystal. Their lessons and hire were pretty good bye but the lessons were only mornings. My friend had lessons and I think woukd have got on better with full day lessons.
I can't advise on shops but I think all the hire shops are in town. Maybe Google and then you can compare prices.
I got lift pass through Crystal it was the same price as on lift co website.
If you are half board then you don't need much more spending money.
Who did you book with? Which hotel?

Thanks for the reply Smile
Not sure who we booked with (my wife booked it but we are staying at Hotel Lek.
After a fair bit of googling it seems as though I wouldn't really save much (if any) money by booking in advance.
Getting excited now, especially as the webcams are showing a big dump of snow today. Probably all gone by the time I get there though lol

Lek is in a good location and looked a nice hotel. The area is great for beginners.
