Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Alpe D'Huez - Les Bergers ski rental & lockers - information HELP!

 Poster: A snowHead

Hello there,

I’m am trying to look for some information but it’s really difficult to find or be certain. So I’m hoping the knowledge here would help. Many thanks in advance for contributing.

We’re heading to Alpe D’huez at the end of January. We’ve rented a self catered ski chalet about 7min walk to Les Bergers mall and the bottom of Marmottes I lift.

I have been researching and am aware that there are a lot of ski rental places in the mall at Les Bergers. What I can’t find is information on Ski lockers Puzzled Does anyone out there have first hand experience on which rental place actually have proper lockable lockers to store our skis in overnight and some gear during the day when we’re skiing? Not racks for skis and shelves for boots in a room but actual lockers.

Any info much appreciated. Also any recommendations if there are multiple places that have the lockers. Which is good for ski hire.

Cheers. So excited Smile .

K

Can't comment on lockers as when I stayed in a chalet just above there it was ski in/out.

I did hire from ski republic in the Berger's and wasn't happy with the service or standard of skis. Edges were blunt and when I went back with them they pretty much just shrugged and suggested it was probably, me not the skis. Eventually they agreed to service them while I had lunch but they were the same after so I returned them (and my friends) and paid for the one day. Went to one of the other shops and hired for the rest of the week. Miraculously my skiing improved Wink Sorry don't remember which shop we went after but seem to remember it as being to the right of ski republic in the corner. It was 5 years ago so could have changed.

Hi
Nevada sports has ski hire and Dominic(owner) usually has no problem with you keeping your equipment there in the shop overnight along with your shoes etc during the day.

The resort has ski lockers but I think only at the main lift DMC, you can book them online - https://skipass.alpedhuez.com/Internet/produitComplementaire.aspx?PO=8&PG=1159&CL=3369&WPG=1&LC=FR

They don't really have it, all the shop units in Berger's are quite small, the area is pretty flat so walking around there in boots is no hassle.
