Poster: A snowHead
|
3 weeks and counting till I go to La Tania for the first time! Flights and chalets booked but struggling with transfers. Anyone got any experience or advice in booking them. Usually do a shared transfer via minibus to the 3V for around £80 each, but cheapest we've found is 260e so far and times not great (waiting at the airport).
Also is there any must sees / dos in or around La Tania for 2 x 30yr old males?
Thanks in advance,
Ky

Ski_Friends,
It's worth trying Alpybus, Ben's Bus, Altibus or Ski lifts.com. We've used them all and had a good experience each time.
All are bookable on line.

Another one I saw in La Tania last week called ‘Skiidy Gonzales’. Worth a look?

3vt (Three Vallee Transfers) are the one we use, they also now do shared transfers under a difference brand, Le Van Rouge.

You'll need to Register first of course.

I've used Three Vallee Transfers, Three Valley Vans, and Snowbound, but always as a private transfer from Moutiers rather than a shared one from further afield. They are all very competitive. Another one worth checking is Ski Amis as although a chalet company they can offer you one of their shared transfers if there is space and they have chalets in La Tania.

have a look at www.latania.co.uk
I think I am correct in saying Freeride catered chalets also do transfers - as do Skiamis

Rent a car. £280 for an economy from Geneva airport for the week - takes 2 plus skis. Free parking in La Tania
The bonus is that you get to do your shopping for the week in the supermarket in Moutiers - we were living off 4.99 euro bottles of Champagne all christmas

Interested in this thread. Arriving in Grenoble on the 4th March and thinking a hire car works out better?

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

A hire car always works out better IMHO, I do it 3 times per season. It also gives you the option to do Saturday to (week on) Sunday flights so you get 7 full days skiing. When we do the march trip to the PDS we also manage to be skiing in St Jean d'aulpe by midday on the first saturday before relocating, hence 8 days skiing in a week trip. What's not to like.
