Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@Annen, sorry to hear that. Suggest you amend the title of your thread to "Injured skier - Wheelchair hire in Briancon?"

@Annen, I don't know that area at all so can't recommend anywhere, but would suggest that he contacts the medical centre where he was treated and asks them.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Annen, most pharmacies will deal with the purchase of crutches and other orthopaedic stuff. Try these two in this link. There will probably be someone speaking English at this time of the year. https://www.pagesjaunes.fr/recherche/briancon-05/materiel-medical

+1. I'd also contact your insurance company - sooner the better as they are reluctant to reimburse costs they've not authorised and they might have to make special arrangements for his journey home. If it's just one knee then he should be fine with crutches, actually, even if he cannot weight bear at all on that leg. Normally they'd have given him crutches.

Poor lad - what a shame!

If he needs crutches he should have been given a prescription/order form to take to the pharmacy.

Think I have some crutches in our garage in Villeneuve / La Salle - let me know if you need them and I'll go take a look
