Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Many of us are aware of the avalanche risk levels / factors and the scale from 1 to 5 but did you know that there was one for pistes as well ?
Following on from the usual High Season mayhem and various collisions amongst those braving the pistes and lift queues (OH taken out twice and over the seasons many friends as well as many SnowHeads) my OH has put together a tongue in cheek feature on the various risk levels that can be apportioned
For sure there are many other factors, for instance specific races but it's meant to be fun and not to be taken too seriously!
And the full feature is
here.....

@Weathercam
, looked at the full feature link. The guy doing the recording hit a bloke travelling uphill. Obviously has to be the videoing guys fault.
he was the uphill skier in the collision.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yeah uphill guy was being a bit of a prick himself if he couldn't see someone below him coming at him. Looked so flat you could barely accuse the joey of hooning uphill mahoosively.

@Weathercam
, very good. We don’t get stuff like that in CH but having skied in France with the nippers when they were small I can sympathise. Actually hold on, it was just like level 5 during Lauberhorn weekend a couple of days ago!
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
