Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Flaine - end of January - solo skier

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I fancy a trip to Flaine sometime around the end of Jan or beginning of Feb. 47 year old intermediate male whose family has no interest in going this year and can't wait until March when I am going with friends. Would like to team up with either a group or other individuals for a relaxed ski and couple of beers. No plans made as yet.

@philipcarson, welcome to Snowheads!

You might want to think about UCPA, which has a centre in Flaine. All sorts of options and gives you ready-made ski companions.

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

cheers for the quick response. i stayed behind UCPA before in Flaine and the impression I got was it was full of 12-20 year olds ? Very happy to be told otherwise though. Would just like to chill in the evening with a couple of cheeky beers in Whites without returning to a University dorm Shock

@philipcarson, I've not stayed there - they originally targeted 18-45 year olds, but have now relaxed the rules. I'm sure someone who has stayed there will be along soon to pass an opinion.......

 Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Philip I'd be interested in a week in Grand Massiff ski area going out either 27/28 Jan. I'm a young at heart 51 year old who has skied for many years. I'm sure we could sort out reasonably priced accommodation on booking.com or similar and get a coach transfer from Geneva easily enough to resort. Perhaps Samoens or Les Carros may be better to stay in than Flaine. Only skied Grand Massiff area once a lot of years ago. I may be contacted directly on email of m.fleming01@btinternet.com

Sorry, should have posted an update. Was going around in circles a bit so ended up booking the pre-birthday bash at the end of Jan in Alleghe.

Appreciate you posting though and hope you get sorted out with something.
