Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sometimes I wish they would do a bit more of it, we can go days without seeing a piste basher at our local resort and it can get pretty tiring skiing chopped mank all the time

Sorry I have to say that when there is snow (since there is often not), I'd rather see it spread all over the piste a la this photo, than being flattened and ruined by the piste basher. I'd actively seek out a resort where the pistes generally look more like this!

It's getting the right balance, I've had enough of the skiing in Italy where every square inch is bashed every night, it's good to have some runs left untouched, including blues so people can learn bumps without having the gradient of blacks. It's also nice to have some runs flattened for some carving.
Last week in Tignes was good on piste, StAnton in three weeks time Very Happy

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I think that's an important point. All the proper moguls I've found in the last few trips have been on steep black runs which does make it hard to develop a solid technique in an easier environment.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

That would be classed as groomed here in Scotland!
