Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sun Peaks 2017-18

The Arctic Winds and dry spell appears to be ending. It'll stay cold, but rather than -20 Celsius it should be more like -10 Celsius. I've been skiing since Thursday and while midweek last week had good powder (+ Burfield and West Bowl T-Bar opening Friday and Saturday offering amazing untouched-all-season powder), but its been dry since then. The only powder I've found is in some tree runs/glades at Lower Burfield and Morrisey, but the coverage is dwindling, and any runs that haven't been groomed overnight have bad spots. Everything is open though, and the snow they are getting this week should get them out of this terrible early season they've had. If you're just arriving after Christmas to ski here and haven't been before, my advice is: Powder-Upper Burfield (lap the midstation to the top, take Juniper Ridge runs-Sunnyside, Kookamungus, Toilet Bowl-, they usually have the best powder), Crystal (Green Door is best IMO), West Bowl (not always great but on Powder days is wonderful). If the West Morrisey steeps get snow, their north facing slopes will finally get good coverage (Static Cling this week was just a bunch of sticks) and will hold powder later on runs like Tumble Dry & In Tatters, and the single blacks off Grand Return (Spin Cycle & Cover Shot) which have been the only good ones IMO this week should be nice, and Agitator could finally open for real (right now it's practically unskiable). Sorry for my ramblings, but that's my advice for anyone heading to Sun Peaks soon. Also, there haven't been any lines this week (longest I've waited is like 2 minutes) and it should stay that way.
