Rafforts, near Hery en Ugine is opening tomorrow. It is almost certainly France's cheapest ski resort with an annual ski pass costing 17 euros. Yes SEVENTEEN EUROS, as the Nigerians write. A day pass for an Adult is 4.5 euros, kids (under 1 ski free. For that you get a bit over 300 meters of vertical.
That's even cheaper than one of our local slopes, le Barioz, which costs us 6 euros / day.
Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

That’s also a lot cheaper than my dry slope.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

l'Alpe du Grand Serre, which is quite a big ski area, had to be bailed out this week in order to open the lifts. I think they needed 160,000 euros in the short term.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Aah better get there again this year. Loved it last time I went a couple of years ago.
I also need to get to Col d'Ornon, 10€ a day
Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

Col d'Ornon and l'Alpe du Grande Serre is where we head at half term when it is too busy in the big resorts
@davidof You need to get your dad to increase your pocket money allowance!
You'll get to see more forums and be part of the best ski club on the net.

I do love these smaller places, great for touring with a motorhome. On my tick list...

Ohh that makes La Quillane (http://www.laquillane.fr/) in the eastern French Pyrenees look like a right rip-off at €21 for 100m of vertical! It has one blue piste, plus some greens.
But it's (the tiniest) part of the multi-resort Neiges Catalanes ski pass so I do wonder whether if buying the pass there you can then drive to the other much larger nearby resorts and use it...
For €30 there are some really great places in that area. Good value for money, the French Pyrenees.
snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

I opened this to say I bet Les Rafforts would be less
