 Poster: A snowHead
|
I'm about to pull the trigger on a solo trip with Jet2 from Stansted to Salzburg, out on Sunday 10th at 0800 and back on Thursday 14th at 1200, which is currently £60 return including ski transport, and will be hiring a car at the airport with the intention of heading to Soll in the Skiwelt. If anyone is in the area, or is planning something similar, I'd be happy to meet up and/or share the transport as my usual ski buddies are out of leave for the year and I have 4 days to be used before Christmas

@jafa, sounds good - for the extra €8 I'll get the Allstar card, though the schlepp across through Brixen/Ki-West/Kirchberg will take a while, and getting back I wouldn't want to find myself stuck in Brixen. I'll have a hire car, so it's always possible for me to drive round to Brixen or Kirchberg for the day. I'm in Hinterglemm in February, so I'll save that for then. I was in Kirchberg a few years back when the snow was poor, so if it is significantly better this time around then I'd like to see whether my negative impression of Kitzbuhel was just because of those conditions.

@DB, agreed, but I prefer to have a single place to stay which has some life in it, and given the current conditions and forecast I don't think I _need_ to go very far to find the snow

Actually, I have it now - right outside my house
