Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Hire - La Thuile

We're looking at a half-term trip to La Thuile, staying at the (in)famous Planibel Apartments. Can even get a deal on the passes. However, ski hire looks expensive through Crystal, so looking at using Berthod Sport and ordering online (20% off using Skiset website). Anyone any experience of Berthod Sport? Any other suggestions? In case it is of importance, we're 4 average intermediates (three blue-red skiers and one red-black skier) who aren't really that fussed about what's on the end of our feet.

It's better to book direct with the shop - phone them and tell them the price you've seen, it's rare they wont want to match it and deal with you direct as skiset take a whopping commission off them.
If you book through skiset website, you're actually forming a contract with a totally separate company so if anything goes wrong with your order, it's not particularly in the shop's interest to do anything about it and you're left battling the evils at the booking company.
