Poster: A snowHead

I'm sure this has been thoroughly covered before but the search function sucks so asking again. I'm planning on sending couple of bags ahead using one of the bag/ski delivery companies, if someone knows off the top of their head which, if any, of them are happy to take full canisters (Mammut system) it would save me a lot of emails and phone calls. Ta in advance.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@Dr John, Plenty on flying with canisters, but I don't remember anything on freighting them.
I guess it would depend on whether the bags would go by road or air, as the regulations for air travel are probably stricter.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@PowderAdict, my assumption was that if they transport by road only there shouldn't be an issue. I'lll take it on a flight, with forms and permits and emails etc, if need be, just hoping there might be an easier option.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I know that UK couriers vary. I very nearly lost an empty one being returned for refill as Parcel Force claimed it was dangerous, but I have used UK Mail who where recommended by Snow Safe (snowsafe.co.uk) without any issue.

It's the same with life jackets for sailing. Some airlines have a fit over a canister of pressurised gas either in your carry on or in the hold. Others realise that every seat on the place already has one of the canisters tucked underneath with the lifejacket. Just depends who writes their policies...
