Poster: A snowHead

Afternoon all
Has anyone heard anything about Easyjet starting an Edinburgh to Innsbruck via Gatwick route without you having to book the separate flights, check in/luggage at Gatwick etc. If so, any idea when it is starting. Had a quick neb about the internet but cannot find anything.
Thanks in advance.

Just looked at a comparison. I used 10th/17th Feb Ed/gatw/inn £805 return
Edinburgh to munich same dates £210 return. Ok train from Munich, but it isn't THAT expensive

Looks ok folks. I've paid £239 EDi -INN for Tui flights via ski-flights.com, which was over £100 cheaper than direct with TUI. Was coming in at £180 with easyJet for flights in march. Ive paid around £200 for equivalent BA flights from Glasgow via Heathrow but that does include ski carriage. Good to see it happening though

As long as you're happy going via somewhere rather than direct there are a bunch of options to fly to Innsbruck without having to re-check luggage or book separate flights.
KLM/AirFrance via AMS/Frankfurt/CdG normally works (I'm assuming EDI will have a greater choice than when I was flying from Aberdeen).

Edinburgh to Innsbruck is difficult for short trips as flights are late out very early back. Post Christmas KLM have a code share with Transavia which is perfect but they only have 4 codeshare seats. There is only 1 hour 5 mins between the 2 return flights so not feasible to book the legs separately. Great if there's only 4 of you though.
