Two weeks this Saturday until we travel to Val di Fiemme! It's our third trip in three years, and I just can't wait. The snow should be in good condition, and the Winter Olympics on TV beforehand should get us in the mood!
Then the weekend after we get back, I'm off to Engelberg with a friend for a weekend of hardcore skiing. No rest, no breathers, just up, down and around.
It's funny. I hated snow as a child.

I'm back...great trip. Didn't see any snowheads out there, sadly. Not many English-speaking people at all in fact. Perhaps that's part of the appeal 
Top tips for ski trips:
1. Before you leave the airport car park, make a note of where you parked. Otherwise finding your car again takes, oooo, about 40 minutes.
2. Take de-icer and a scraper with you if you're hiring a car
3. Don't forget that regular diesel freezes over 600m requiring the replacement of your 400km old hire car and a day of skiing wasted.
