Poster: A snowHead

Hi you lot, its been a while. Want to try Italy in February, last time i went to Italy was to Pejo 3000 when i was at school in the mid 80's. Where to go to? We need somewhere that has some blues bordering onto reds, mrs ricfrench can do reds but would prefer blues(nudge nudge yes its a blue😉) Also mini frank klammer will do anything on skis or board and parks too(beginner) just need pointing at some different areas to look at.

Did Pejo 3000 March 2016. Loved it.
Have a look at Madesimo, Lombardy and San Martino di Castrozza, Dolomites

How big an area (if that is important), DIY or Tour Operator? Is transfer time important? Will you have a car whilst in resort? Is apres important?

Champoluc...lovely village, great skiing, fab grub...the reds aren't very red, not too crowded, cheery Italians..if you can afford a fancy tour op who take a look at Ski2 to organise it for you.

Why not join the birthday bash. Great hotel and food, lots of company and an awesome ski area.

ricfrench I didn't appreciate it had to be half term. You will struggle to find the perfect place at the perfect price due to Fasching. At half term we are staying at Mantena which is the next village down from Sankt Vigilio. Not ideal because no shops, few eating places and need to take ski bus or car up to SV each day. Not far. But not for me in ski boots thank you

You know it makes sense.

Bormio. 3 mountains to ski and a beautiful medieval town to walk around plus Italy's biggest vertical 3000m to 1200m.

It never goes away. I now have to deal with it for grandchildren.
But I can get away at other times as well...............
