Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Gressoney mid December

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Having just discovered that my eldest breaks up for Christmas on the 15th Dec (sadly youngest doesn't h til 21st Dec), I can't help thinking about a cheeky week off with my eldest (if I can convince hubby to stay and do both school drop offs and pickups)

Going as a single parent would feel happier with Esprit support but eldest says she just wants to ski with me not do lessons this time if we do do this.

So anyway - having a quick look at historic snow records for mid December looks pretty much OK higher up, but skiing back to resort may be challenging to non existent. Is this accurate based on people who have been in the area at that time of year?

@NickyJ, can't comment about the snow as I've only been in March on the recent GnaBug Bash but the Esprit chalet hotel is just next to the Gressoney chairlift and people I spoke to from it were pleased with the chalet.

@stevew, yes, we have stayed with them there before and definitely very happy to go back there. When we went before it was first week of April.

Mid Dec I'd be more inclined to 1. Wait till last minute 2. Look towards glaciers 3. Book flights e.g. Into Geneva (2.5 hours to Champoluc) which has widest range of options.

There will be no issues with accommodation.
