Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Madonna di Campiglio - Ski School and Driving from Malpensa

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
This Thursday (Dec 14) I am taking family to Madonna di Campiglio for a week. We arrive at Malpensa Airport in Milan. I saw on viaMichelin at least three ways to drive there and I was wondering whether anyone could recommend the fastest way. I am not scared of narrow roads.
Ski School - My wife (43) and boy (7) are almost beginners - they have 8 days on skis and can ski blues (timidly). My plan is: first day, separate private lessons for both to refresh and regain confidence, then but them in (separate) group lessons. English speaking instructors is a must. Which ski schools would you recommend? Thanks.

Route wise the obvious one is fastest. I would imagine.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

My dilemma is whether to go via the highways (A4 to Verona and A22 to Trento) which is 77 km longer or to start heading north from Brescia on SS237 and SS239. Via Michelin suggests it is the same travel time (4 hours) but I was hoping to gain from someone's experience.
Even more important for me would be input on ski schools as noted above. Thanks

In snowy conditions the longer route MWay might be faster, better chance of it being clear, that of course depends on what type of roads , that connect MDC to the Mway

Hi,
I'm sure someone with more local knowledge will come along soon but we used these guys for private lessons last year http://www.scuolascicampiglio.com/en/ . We made the initial arrangements via email and they were helpful, lessons were good and we'll be using them again this year. They also had someone in our hotel bar for an hour or so every evening so we paid them on arrival and arranged extra lessons via them as well.
