That's incorrect.
Dynastar's are shipped from the factory as 1,1 (=1,89)

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

This is why I was asking as my google searched had given me bot the above answers depending on where I looked.

@spyderjon, why would a manufacturer make a blanket change like that?

Amplid:
All models: 0,0 (Email from Anian Thrainer of Amplid although I can't believe that they ship a ski with a zero base edge angle)
can anyone explain why ? and what should be done after acquiring theirs skis?
many thanks

I've only handled a few pairs of brand new Amplids but they were all 1,1 (=1,89). I came to the conclusion that the guy is an idiot. If you measure the angles I bet they'll be 1,1.

In my experience as an average skier and my salomon skis. I had them done by a racer and they were great. I do them myself using Jon's DVD (I recommend people buy it) and I set mine to 3 because my Preachers are three and I can't be bothered getting other angles.
I don't ski any worse.
Can people tell the difference between 1 erg or 2 deg? Or in my case 2 deg and 3 deg. I can't tell....

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@GlasgowCyclops,
Similar here, the mushette needs her racing planks set to 87 so everything gets the same treatment (except Mrs M's uphill skis).

Yup, all mine are set at 87 from SLs to fat powder skis. Many years ago I took an old pair of Rossi B2s and changed the angle from 89 to 87, it noticably improved their grip in icy conditions.

You know it makes sense.

@Scarpa, don't you mean from 1 to 3?
Sounds like they were not torsionally rigid enough.

1 to 3 is the same as 89 to 87 - it just depends from which direction you measure the angle.
