Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sharkymark, noooo!

Yep, that's what snow does. Bit like a dodgy girlfriend. You think she's all gone off then it gets a little chilly and you find her all soft and fluffy waiting for you...

David Murdoch, never try skiing with an excitable snowboarder when there's one little pocket of powder around wink

Unfortunately, by Saturday, said snowboarder had a cold (probably brought on by flapping about in the little powder pocket) and we had to leave by 3pm so only got about 3-4 hrs skiing/boarding in.

There's at last a decent pisted black run on the Swiss side: the right hand fork of the Mossettes red. This is ignoring the bare, grassy slopes of Champoussin of course.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Sharkymark, Why do you want it pisted? Carry along the path a little further and you'll find the Mossettes couloirs...a lot more fun! Twisted Evil

I haven't yet tackled much off-piste in my short (but illustrious) skiing career wink

I was going to get a few pointers last week but unfortunately, Mr Foehn blew all the powder away... Sad

In which direction are these couloirs? Towards Chavannette or Champoussin

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

come off mossettes, head towards abricotine, as you pass the cliffs they're on the left. I think the 2nd one is best.

Skiing off piste is at your own risk!
