Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Please suggest a ski resort

Just back from skiing so thinking about where to go next year. We've always flown but next year plan to drive in the first week of April.
So I'm looking for a resort that is snowsure enough for Easter, easy to drive to, family friendly with good kids ski school, free list pass for a 5 year old (rules out most French resorts) and ideally a nice pool like Avoriaz has with slides, etc (unrealistic?) and other kids apres stuff.
I'd be very grateful for any suggestions and/or driving tips.

Montgenevre would suit you. Mainly north facing at a decent altitude, usually good at Easter, two good ski schools, I think it has free lift passes for under 6s or did when my youngest was that age and has a roller coaster for fun apres ski. There is a new pool in resort called the Durancia. However if you pick one of the self catering places they have their own pools eg. Hameau des Airelles, Chalet des Dolines, and Le Napoleon. Le Napoleon is in the best location but is also the most expensive. We went to Montgenevre with a 5 year old and she loved it.

It is a couple of hours further on than the nearest resorts and you have to pay for the frejus tunnel but it is worth the extra drive. I'd recommend using a self drive TO to get the Eurotunnel flexi plus ticket. We have used Peak Retreats many times and would recommend them.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks. Sounds good. I've driven through Montgenevre I think on the transfer from Turin. I'll have a look at it. Very Happy
