Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Plagne Saturday liftpass

It would appear that the price of a day pass is just €30 rather than the usual €50. Quite a bargain, but am I right in thinking you have to buy it online in advance and can't get it at the lift pass office?

Didn't expect the wind to be quite so bad this morning - delayed the lift opening from Champagny until after 10am and it wasn't until after 2pm that Rossa opened.

Still can't complain for €30, about the cost of an hour at Hemel.

Other French prices were a bit of a shock though - lasagne and salad €15.80! Sure that would be more like €10 in most Italian resorts.

@dw832, Very Happy I think you need to 'shop' around a bit!

Not much of an opportunity to do that today. This was the place at the top of the Champagny gondola - prices not typical ?

Weather looks a bit better tomorrow so it'll be back to a home made baguette and cheese.

dw832, take a sandwich and chocky bar, or just have the salad.
I tend to go for "Soup-of-the-day" if eating out: usually excellent value.
Eating a "proper" lunch is a waste of good skiing time. snowHead

But very sociable - and one of the reasons I like an Alpine holiday. snowHead

achilles, greetings! How are you? Long-time-no-see.
Agree "proper" lunch can be very sociable, but so can picnic on a gondola or short break on a rock beside the piste.
Or, even better: dinner, when the sun has gone down and the lifts stopped, and skiing not so easy.

(and, some if us even find skiing itself quite sociable Madeye-Smiley )

@Jonpim, Picnic on the rocks in the sunshine surrounded by snow is certainly sociable and a must do in my book snowHead
