Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Borovets exchange rate (home exchange or BUL cashmachine)

Hi Guys,

Sorry if this is in the wrong section and the mods can feel free to move if this is the case.

Off to Bulgaria on Saturday and trying to decide whether to take pre-bought Levs with me or withdraw from cash machine there. I have seen posts from years ago elsewhere that say its better to withdraw (with a large ER difference) there but hope someone would have a more UTD opinion if recently been out. If the difference is negligible, ill just take out there but wanted an opinion.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide

Matt

Lev is fixed to the Euro

while you may get better exchange rate out there, you may also get hit hard by your bank in charges.
There is about 0.05lev difference between resort, compared to the UK (Ramsdens is very good exchange rates if you order online & collect)
Last week people was getting 2.22 in resort - ramsdens today is 2.16 - so about 3% difference.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I took out sterling and then changed up what I needed in resort. Loads of kiosks (crown were best rate)
That way I wasn’t left with lev that I didn’t need.
If you’re able to drive to Samakov you will get a better exchange rate there than in resort
