The NW is getting repeated dumps, I've just crawled 40 tons up and over Snowsquamie (sp?) and there's a very thick base. Yes it's a bit soggy at low elevations but very sweet higher up and as W' is a further North and a wee bit higher, I really wouldn't worry . . . add to that . . . mountains are wonderful and you don't have to slide down them to have a great holiday . . . food, drink, craiq, walking, lazy morning shagging, biscuits in bed, butties on summits, etc, etc, etc . . .
. . . well, perhaps you need to supply yer own 'alternatives' to falling down a hill

@stuarth, It was busy. My waffles were cold before we got a seat in crystal hut at lunchtime. 😄Trying to get a table in a restaurant tonight was difficult 4th choice.😎😎

Anyone coming out to Whistler this week, and BC in general is in for a good week of skiing. That's if you like skiing powder. Basically on and off snow all week with 10cm-20cm coming down each day. Otherwise, maybe cancel your trip if all you want is groomers and sun.

@imgalvin, so has the fresh light snow been worth coming for? More due for the rest of the week.

Anyone in Whistler at the mo? I'm coming out at the weekend, just wondered how snowy it is at resort level? Will I need snow boots for when I'm not skiing?

Pretty warm and wet this week, but it is cooling down a bit
You don't really need snow boots in Whistler even if it is snowing tons in the village as mostly all the condos/hotels/resort keep the paths clear. Not sure I even own a pair (have some hiking boots with winter grippy soles but thats about it)

Should be improving into the weekend. Warm spell starting to finally run its course. Forecast calling for snow Friday/Saturday. Foot or so with decreasing freezing levels. Leave the snow boots at home. Bring the powder skis though.

You know it makes sense.

@nabus, We were out last week and it was slushy in the village. One day foot of snow over night and they had not managed to clear it all in the morning. Generally very good at keeping the paths clear though.
So not critical but could be handy, just used hiking boots myself.
