@stanton, top tip! Don't bother making a point by posting a link in Norwegian. Nobody here will understand it. |
Google translate can help you. Thanks @stanton, useful link which I dont think I would have found with a search.

Just a few bits and pieces from åre. Hot choc on piste about £3. Burger, chips and trimmings at resto on piste about £12. Ghoulash about £9. Mrs Dobby got stung in 1 café though. ... £5 for hot chocolate.
Supermarket not too bad, considering its a small supermarket in a ski resort. About 50% or so more than UK. Milk about £1.30 a litre. 6 x 0.5 litre weak beers about £3-4. Decent craft beer from System about £2-3. 1.5l Fanta £1.80.

Currently in Trysil. Have found it to be similar to high end London prices for things!

just got back from a 5 day trip from Hemsedal - which is in the same group as Trysil.
Pricewise for lunch: soup buffet - £9, for a great all you can eat goluash. Kids had the full buffet for £7/each, which included a drink. Again, warbis66, I disagree with what you are saying.

I'm with you warbiz66 and ponomis. It may be that Hemsedal is cheaper than Trysil (even if they are in the same group)? Prices I would imagine will fluctuate depending on the actual resort. Dobby, those prices sound pretty good and that fits with the Swedish lady I spoke to who also said that Trysil was massively more expensive than "back home". Cracking place though.

I have been impressed by the level of instruction for my girls (8 and 10). In three days of 1.5 hour lessons they have gone from basic snow plow gained during one lesson in Tamworth to the beginnings of a decent parallel turn!

@lilledonmarco: Trysil i can assure you was not offering those prices. I too have stayed in Hemsedal on several occasions and prices were nothing like Trysil. I had, perhaps wrongly assumed it was generalized across Norway but it appears not. I still maintain that Trysil is very expensive.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@Lilledonmarco, åre is in the same group as trysil and hemsedal in that it is a skistar resort so it seems that trysils prices appear to be a trysil thing not a skistar or even norway thing. We went to hemsedal a couple of times a few years ago and the prices were nowhere near as high as for trysil this year. Maybe trysil is v expensive even for norway?
