Poster: A snowHead
|
Hello all, just managed to snaffle a few days off next week and seeing if I can get a few days on the snow! Looks like Geneva offering more of a choice next week, so looking for recommendations near there. We are a mature couple looking for some nice easy cruisy blues for a short three day trip. Have been to Morzine and really enjoyed our time there. But we open to suggestions for any other resorts, preferably near to the airport. Thanks all in advance

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Flaine, Les Houches, Megeve, La Clusaz, take your pick!
All short transfers with direct bus links, leaving daily/hourly from Geneva airport, conditions should be great throughout the Northern French Alps presently.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

La Clusaz should suit you and is nice and close to Geneva.
It is half term though so finding last minute accommodation might not be easy.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Or Saint Gervais, Les Contamines (less cruisy), Le Grand Bornand, Praz de Lys all good alternatives. But as others have said, don't expect anywhere to be quiet.

Fly to Salzburg from London. Cheap, easy and regular flights. And 45 minutes from the slopes.
(Or Innsbruck. But fewer flights.)

Saas-Fee would suit a short break, very easy transfer by public transport.
