Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski advice

Hello everyone,

I used to be an amateur racer. I was never an awesome racer but I was pretty good.

I know very little about skis actually, my last skis were chosen by my trainer. My last skis are 2012 Atomic Race TI SL 163 cm. This is a short slalom ski with a radius of 11.5m. In Atomic's current line-up, its equivalent is probably "Redster Edge SL". I used this with a 95 flex boots.

And now... It's time to go for a new pair. As I've pointed out, I know nothing about skis. I want a good ski/boots advice.

- My previous pair felt extremely stiff. I would die of pain after 2 hours of skiing. So my new pair should ideally be softer (but still stiff)
- I would like to do somewhat larger turns.

Ski advice should not break the bank and kindly include ski length (I am 5'10).

Thanks!! Very Happy

Sex? What sort of skiing do you want to do? Something a bit weird about your history 95 flex isn't a race boot unless you were still a junior.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Not even any foreplay. Now I know why there are so many Marmottes.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Are you sure they are a 95 flex and not a 95 last?
A stiff race boot would have a 130 or even 150 flex. Plug race boots are often a 95mm last - narrow and tight fitting.

As above, what skiing? More twiddly race turns on piste, or looking to explore off piste? I'm a (very) ex dry slope racer, now enjoy exploring the whole mountain so have a stiff boot but it's more upright and has all day comfort. Skis are longer and fatter as I seek out deeper snow.
