Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Lech - eating out recommendations for chalet day off

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Any recommendations for somewhere to get dinner in Lech on the chalet day off? Looking for something quick and relaxed, not upmarket. Skied at Lech a few times but never stayed there.

Last year we were caught out by not booking anywhere in advance but there was a pizza takeaway which was fine - not sure such a thing exists in Lech!

Thanks in advance.

Its a pity the Pizzeria on the corner of Straas was turned into that upscale Lazarus hotel. Can't remember the name but a really good pizzaria and reasonable. Personally I'd favour Olympia over Don Enzo's, so many reports of indifferent service there. All the others are good, eaten in every one. You will be lucky to get a table at Haus No 8 but if you do it will be very good and an experience to talk about, if a little on the more expensive side.

@Old Man Of Lech, Well, not all are that good anymore. Ambrosius can be pretty mediocre, and Hus8 used to be much better food (but still a great place to go)
Schneggarei (1st floor) has Almhof Schneider style and very good food at very acceptable prices

Pizzeria Charly was good indeed. Sold to Russians.....(Laurus)

We stayed here some years ago and the food was very good https://www.buehlhof.com/en.html

At the time it had the quote on the tourist office's website that it served "sensible cooked fish with crunchy parts from outside" or something similar and we just had to try it!

@Gordyjh, you must be mistaken, that is not a restaurant, and it never was. Might be halfboard-hotel, but not for outside guests

My mistake, I thought they allowed outsiders to eat there - a shame as it's quite good.
