Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone used Smith Chromapop Storm lenses yet?

After a few days with new bright yellow lenses (equivalent to an Oakley hi yellow) in storm skiing/white out/grey out/very flat light I realise my skiing is still adversely affected by lack of vision (comparing myself to random punters skiing past).

Heard some good things about Chromapop but are these the killer app? Part of me suspects that if your eyes reverert to a projection of your retina and floaters them no lens is really going to make things clear enough.

I've got the sun and storm lenses. I've not had true whiteout conditions yet but I did ski in flat grey light plus light snow last weekend and the storm lens felt like it have better definition than I had with my old goggles. I didn't do the side by side comparison though so it could just be wishful thinking (and subconsciously trying to justify the money i spent).

I have Oakley High Intensity Yellows. They are definitely better than clear (or not using goggles at all) for the surface definition, but there quickly comes a point where nothing is going to really help you.

I keep a pair of Smith Scope goggles with Blue Sensor lenses in my back pack for those specific conditions. My normal goggles are Zeal Fargo goggles with "Automatic" lenses (polarised photochromic) which cover everything else without having to change lenses.
