Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Where to go near Chamonix this weekend.

I have this weekend (3rd-5th February) in Chamonix booked and am staying in Les Houches. The forecast is pretty much for whiteout all weekend and with a high freezing level along with it.

Where would the best place be to ski ? High altitude would be good for snow quality but lower down would be better as runs are tree lined.

I am thinking about booking a private lesson on Friday and Sunday and doing the ESF Cham'ski Fun Tour on Saturday (has anyone done this?).

I did contavt Evolution 2 regarding off piste lessons and they were full. They also did mention that this weekend might not be so great due to the probable high avalance risk (120 cm forecast for Cham. over Fri/Sat/Sun).

Thanks in advance.

Tomorrow looks OK with 45% sunshine. Sat and Sun defo a bit cloudy. Snow to 1,300m Sat and 1,000m Sun. Which suggest LHs fine tomorrow, and Sunday. Sat may be a bit tricky. What is this "Fun Tour" of what you talk?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Just stay in Les Houches on Fri/Sun then?

I think I would and the mountain food is way better if it gets all claggy.

I see, it's a Les Houches not a Chamonix ESF thing.
