Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Day parking in Montgenevre

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm driving from Turin to La Grave on Monday and plan to stop off and ski in Montgenevre on the way through. I haven't been there for about 10 years, but I recall that the last time there was a long, narrow car park on the left hand side of the road (N94) as you come in from the Claviere direction (before you get to the tunnel). Is this the best option or are the other car parks that are better located? I also recall this car park being free - does anyone know whether this is still the case?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

@slushy, there's also parking at the other end of the village on the left by the Chalmettes chair. As far as I know parking is still free.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Hells Bells, thanks. I should also have mentioned that I will need a lift pass so being close to the ski pass kiosks would be a bonus (if that changes your answer at all?!)

We parked by the Chalmettes chair last year and it was free

@slushy, I think you can buy a pass close to both car parks, but definitely at Chalmettes.

As it's French half term, the parking on French side (Chalmettes) will be busier than on the Italian side above (Serre Thibaud). There is a ticket office at the Serre Thibaud chair.
