Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Crystal Ski carriage cancellation....

Evening folks.

I'm due to head out to Arinsal,Andorra shortly. I had booked and paid for 2 lots of Ski Carriage with my package, One for skis and one for my board.

They've told me it's no longer available, and hence I can't take my own kit. Pretty hacked off with them. They've offered me rental kit, "intermediate" skis and board. I've pushed pretty hard to get this to be honest, but I'll be a sour puss all week if i get there and have crap skis.

Any suggestions on what I can do - Other than spend the week getting drunk? Its my Wifes first winter holiday, and I'm trying to convince her to take it up as a yearly thing. FYI her kit is included anyway.

I'd pay the small premium to get an upgrade, if necessary.

Make it a fabulous holiday for your wife, suck up the rental kit and look forward to many more trips in the future.

Well. 20kg checked, 20kg hand.

I have a set of ski boots AND a set of snowboard boots. Maybe make a nice necklace from the boots, wear it for the flight?

I hate being "that guy" but I've always taken my own ski's and board. If there is fresh powder and I have some narrow POS skis......

She's a total noobie. I've booked her lessons for 3 hrs a day, And i'll spend a good bit of time helping her when i can.

I've got a free 2 hour slot every morning to ride first lines, and then meet her for a coffee/beer.

You do seem to look on the bright side!

The hire shop should have skis to suit different snow conditions and accommodate different needs.

Oh....and if your relationship can survive you "helping" her, it's good to go. snowHead
