Planning a late season trip with my son .Looking at going Monday 3rd April for a week so that my wife can join us over the weekend.I wondered if St Anton would be a good choice or if it's too late in the season for there.Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.Would be up for another location but really want somewhere we can get to by train from either Geneva,Zurich or Munich.

Icy in the morning, slushy in the afternoon, and great in between. Went last year in April and going again this year.
Personally I am happy with the trade off of spring conditions for sitting out in the sun at lunch and apres. I quite like skiing slush, but it's not for everyone I suppose. The Mrs and daughter aren't fans of the cold so suits them as well.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Been to St Anton twice late season because of my kids' Uni terms. It was absolutely fine, but getting towards being warm later on in the day. Lots of the marked but unpisted stuff was inaccessible though.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Take big skis and be prepared to slurf the corny goodness. Really very nice in April assuming snowpack has built sufficiently before then.

@Angus og, get the train from Zurich, very scenic and easy. Geneva too far. Munich (airport) more changes.
