Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Recommendations ski weekend from Bristol

So, I'd like to nip away THIS weekend on a ski weekend, grab a flight with EasyJet from Bristol.

I'm not a great skier so easy blues for me.

Needs to be easy to get to from the airport - either hire car or transfer.

Where's good?

Fly to Geneva with SleazyJet. Any of the resorts near there, not done any myself but seem to remember Morzine/Les Gets being commonly suggested. Think Les Carroz and Flaine are in reasonable striking distance too.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Geneva probably easiest logistics.

But ... French school hols start Saturday... so finding weekend accommodation in-resort in France might be tricky ...

Les Gets/Morzine/Grand Massif/Les Houches/Evasion Mont Blanc/Espace Diamont all work and are easy enough to arrange transfers. But find somewhere to sleep first...

Praz de Lys would suit you. Small, family orientated, easy resort. Easy drive from GVA - you could train it to Cluses but I'm not sure if there are any options other than taxi to get up the hill.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Lou1, Grand Bornand would be perfect. Just came back from there on Saturday (flew from Bristol). Great beginners areas and loads of blues Madeye-Smiley

I've organised a few weekend trips from Bristol and whilst Geneva gives the best flights you may struggle for weekend accommodation at this juncture as @under a new name, states. If you can find somewhere, we always found Morzine the best all round resort for variety of skiing, reasonable après ski and ease of transfer.

However, you can go to Austria if you get an Easyjet flight first thing on Friday and then return on BMI Regional from Munich on Monday pm. We have done Mayrhofen, Kitzbuhel and Soll like this (all 3 should fit your spec). You should get a good afternoon's ski in on Friday and possibly a few hours on Monday, depending on how you plan to do your transfer (we had a group so got a private minibus, but car hire or possibly train would work with the above). You can add St Johann in Tyrol, Kirchberg, Westendorf, Alpbach and a fair few others to this list.

I'm not sure what price flights are for the above. Possibly quite high at this late stage but I thought it worth suggesting a different option.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

 You know it makes sense.

You could try Ski Weekender who cover the Aravis area and Grand Massif. They include accommodation, transfers and ski pass. I've never used them for this as we stayed in La Clusaz but we used them for transfers and they were a friendly bunch. May be easier than DIY at short notice...
