Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Best Double Ski Bag?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi, just wondering what your opinions on double ski bags & which ones are best/recommended. Would prefer one with wheels.

Douchebag seems to be the most expensive weighing in at £200. Most reviews seem good but have seen the odd one saying durability was poor & not expected for a top product. Dakine fall line double ski bag seems to get very good user reviews at £100. Interested to know what others forum members use.

You can get a Sportube Series 2, in all its hard, ski-protecting glory for around £100.

I've got a Series 1 (single pair of ski) version and very happy with it/the protection it gives my skis from the best efforts of the baggage throwers.

I have had a Locker large wheeled bag, good and very roomy but heavy (back in the day when airlines carried 32kg bags!).
I go for snowboard bags usually as they're more roomy.
Currently and for last 3 years used a Ride double snowboard wheeled Sanitarium bag, 172 long. Tough, roomy, not too heavy, survives baggage handlers at most airports and transports a good quiver selection (wrapped in jackets, trousers or just bubblewrap, with internal straps) & helmets & boots & other odds & sods quite happily. Cost around £70 on the net though I think hard to get hold of these days - many similar makes available though.
Frankly, I wouldn't pay the earth as it'll only get damaged one way or the other (don't get me started, every trip through Manchester and it's a claim for bag damage Sad ).

I second the Sportube Series 2 recommendation.
