Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Morzine weeks accommodation

I booked a weeks accommodation in a Hotel in Morzine for the 29th to 4th for me and a friend through booking.com . Unfortunately a serious family incident has cropped up so we have to bail. They wont let me cancel it (in fairness they stated that clearly before I booked), but would let me defer it till later in the ski season. I havn't paid for it but booking.com have my credit card details etc. My problem now is I really don't think I'll get back around to a ski trip before the snow is gone in early April. Do I have any chance of selling the weeks accommodation? Obviously I would be selling it at a loss, but that's better than getting nothing for it? Anyone interested in it?

@Tim818, if it's a serious enough incident (I'm not asking for details), won't your travel insurance cover it?

This is the hotel, half board for 6 nights in a double room. It's bang in the middle of morzine, I've paid 1000e for it. Obviously not expecting to get what I paid for it back. If someone is interested if they let me know the dates that would suit them and I could probably get the hotel to change the booking to that week.

And I didn't really think about insurance, I'm fairly sure I did renew my winter travel insurance this year ha, I may go call them up.
