Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Driving from Grenoble and parking in Val Thorens

Hi everyone

Apologies for posting a topic that has already been discussed at length, but when i looked through the search results, i couldn't find an answer to the questions i had.

We are hiring a car and driving from Grenoble to VT at the end of Jan. I wondered if anyone had any idea how much the road tolls would be? Also, I'm trying to decide whether we should pay to park in VT or park in Les Menuires for free as i have seen suggested on some topics.

If we were to park in LM, how easy is it to get from LM to VT? Is there a bus? i've found this one but it seems like it doesnt run on Saturdays http://www.valthorensguide.fr/navettes-gratuites-val-thorens-2016-17.pdf if not and it's a case of getting a ski lift from LM to VT, won't I be paying for an extra day's lift pass just for that one lift since I estimate we wont get to VT until around 3-4pm on the saturday, so not much time for skiing?

Thanks very much

@rhythmpig, welcome to snowHeads. Tolls from Grenoble to Albertville are less than 10€. @rhythmpig, list here http://www.autoroutes.fr/FCKeditor/UserFiles/File/DEPLIANT%20TARIFS%202016%2001(1).pdf

By the time you offload your luggage in VT and get back down to LM you might have missed the last lift. It does look like the bus doesn't run on Saturdays.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Brilliant! Thanks for that link, it's really helpful! Sorry, for some reason I couldnt find it!

It looks like it's worth just paying the 77 Euros to park in VT to save the hassle - especially if i ended up missing the last lift back hah!
