Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Gets with an injured guest

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

Off to Les Gets in a couple of weeks and one of our party has picked up a knee injury. Might be able to do some skiing but more likely will be looking for other activities......is there much to do?

Thought about sleigh rides or walking? Any local gyms or pools?

Cheers

watching with interest. Staying in Ardent in a few weeks with my wife on her first trip on snow since a bad knee injury requiring two operations and a whole load of physio over the last 4 years. Hoping for a week on the snow, but probably likely we'll have one or more days off.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi,

Depending on how much exercise they can manage there's cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ski joering, paragliding, husky sledging and ice skating.

Adding onto the activities listed above, there are places to do yoga, there's a chocolate workshop called Chalet du Chocolat and a bowling alley.

If they're happy to pop over to Morzine they'll find a large indoor aquatic centre with swimming pool, 3 saunas and steam baths. They also have Segway tours which ranged between 40 to 80 euro and ice diving.

In Avoriaz, there's a huge water park with waterslides, lazy river, a large pool and aquatic sports classes including aqua zumba, fitness, slim, punishing and aqua step. Prices range between 8-10 euro for adults depending on what time you go. Just be aware that they're closed on Saturdays.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
