Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Grimondet and Chamole tend to be the runs that open last. Both are being worked on currently and look like they'll open soon. Everything else is in great condition with lots of snow so there's no great pressure to open them.

Just back and it snowed all week. Never seen snow down in Aosta and it was deep down there, snow chains needed 100m up the hill from Aosta. Vis was very low but flipping sunny this week...... grrrr

They look as though they needed it as some steep bits of pistes were scrapped a bit even with the snow we got. Piste1 for example, the steep get in cork screw was looking brown but skied ok.

All lifts open other than Grimondet but that one does not seem to open when we have been there for the last few years. Maybe it is weekend only to save money as the snow was fine for it to be open and we like it over there even though it is very slow lift.

Weird fence across the run in to Chamole lift which was a bit of a shock coming over the hill from the Yeti bar. Better to go right now onto the bottom of Piste2 to get to the lift which is a bit daft.

Great time had by all.

Thanks for the update, we've got a couple of weeks before we go yet so I guess we will have to wait and see what we get!

All lifts now open. The run skiers left off grimodet is closed I think for avalanche safety.

Grimodet. Good snow on and off piste, but the next few sunny days may see the off change. Sorry for the sideways picture.
