Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Luggage - Detachable Boot Bag

 Poster: A snowHead

Anyone got any suggestions on a Holdall/Suitcase with Detachable Boot Bag.

I've got a Head Holdall with wheels that's seen better days and needs to be replaced soon. I have just got back from a trip to Sestriere and had to pay £80 excess luggage beacause of being over the weight allowance. I explained that there were 2 pairs of boots in the bag and was told that if they were in sepearte boot bags they can go on and not affect your luggage allowance. Confused
I ditched my Boot Bags a few years back as it's easier to have all the ski stuff in one bag when you've got a child in tow.

The last piece of luggage I saw that had a detachable boot bag was made by Fischer. Beware though! Ski boots are heavy, and boot bag section of this piece of luggage was attached using a sturdy zip. But not sturdy enough. I saw a number of these bags returned because the zip failed.

Pete1909, Dakine make a rolling bag that separates into two. My brother likes it as fully laden it's over the single item limit, so he just separates it. I haven't bought one as empty it's 5kg in its own right.

Bob - Mine & The Wife's boots - don't know why she bothered taking them she only skiied for 3 half days, then again she did look after our son leaving me free to play to my hearts content, so I can't complain really.
