Poster: A snowHead

Hi I currently have a pair of k2 apache xplorer (with the front of 1 slightly bent...rocker?
A mate is selling a pair of k2 amp chargers and I'm tempted but concerned at the narrower waist. I rarely venture off the edge of pistes and am comfortable on all of them. Explorers 84mm.
Change from £100 is a big factor in considering a change too what do you think any suggestions?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@oldmike, if they are the right length for you they are an excellent piste ski. Narrow waist? Our piste skis are around 69mm and the FIS skis down to 65-64. They rip. If you are a frontside skier then the 74mm of the amps is more than fine. My most elegant friend does waist deep on 68mm skis. If I could do what he does in powder I would be most happy. He does on 68 what I can occasionally do on 84mm.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks Valais2,
it would be nice not having to work out which ski is bent so it goes on my stronger foot too

Bought my chargers 2nd hand off Snowheads in October 13 and I've just arrived in 3 v to start this seasons skiing with them. I ski about 9 weeks per season.
I think they are as resilient as they were when I first brought them out here. My skiing style is not too aggressive but I like to get a move on.
Their size ( just been down to boot room and written it down),
174 cm slightly longer than me,
122 x74 x106 and 16 m radius with marker mx bindings, the bindings could be a bit better but they're good enough for me.
I have enjoyed these skis from the first moment, they almost sense where I want to go and do.
As long as the obvious is ok,ie , no significant damage then at less than £100 its a no brainer.
Hope I've helped, I'd buy them again.
If you buy them hope you enjoy them
