Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi all

Torn between two different pairs of goggles. Smith I/0 7s and Flight deck XM has anyone had both pairs?

Or can anyone recommend either?

Tried both with prizm and chromapop lenses in.

In case it's of help, I've been impressed with the Prizm Lens....especially with the range of conditions they can be used in. I have Prizm Rose, but in A Frames. Daughter has Prizm Sapphire in FD XM, but hasn't used them yet. Will be able to give a verdict at the end of next week.

Can't comment on Smiths, though I think I read that Chromapop use a Trivex lens, which if true, is supposed to be slightly clearer.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Got the I/O with low light and bright lenses, fantastic and really easy to change (if you need to). Low light lens is really good for late in the day, but even the bright lense is alright in some flat light conditions.

Thanks Fartbag.

I have I/0s now. They just seem small Snoody. Was looking for a bigger rimless frame.

I ve got a big head and Flight Decks (not XM) coming from Airbrakes.

Used Prizm , especially Rose and loved it last year.

Full sun conditions less relevant but I could see the benefit if you ski way too fast through bright sun / shadow - trees on a really bright day on piste.

Have now gone to Prizm Hi Pink for the worst viz days (Rose was just a touch dark) and in the Airbrake XL which is just a bit easier to switch the lens on the fly - which I think is more likely with Hi Pink/Sapphire combo.

Mrs loved Prizm Flight Deck XM combo, also now trying Prizm Airbrake.

No (recent) experience with Smiths ; Helmets were and remain Giro Edit (me). Lure (Mrs).ck not

Full size Flight Deck not as crazy big as it looks BTW!!

actually I don't really have a big head, I'm on the cusp between M and L in Giro lid.

BTWI think the Smith Chromopop / Sensor lenses sound really good as well so I wouldn't just use my experience as the only excuse to buy!
