Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Which Bindings?

After testing a few pairs of different skis, I think I'm gonna treat myself to a new pair of Elan Ripsticks 96's

But looking online on Glisshop, there's the following various binding options which tbh, I'm not entirely clear if any merit the additional cost

TYROLIA – Attack 11 B100 Solid
LOOK – NX 11 B100 Black White
MARKER – Squire 11 110mm Black (+£25.20)
SALOMON – Z12 n White Black B10 (+£52.90)
MARKER – Griffon 12 ID 110mm Bl (+£67.20)
LOOK – SPX 12 Dual WTR B100 Bla (+£75.60)
SALOMON – Warden MNC 13 t C100 (+£75.60)
LOOK – SPX 12 Dual WTR B100 Bla (+£75.60)
MARKER – Jester 16 ID 110mm Bla (+£136.00)

I have Salomon bindings at the moment and quite like the smaller heal setup, as apposed to the other models which can sometimes be a bit awkward to release.

Any thoughts or views much appreciated.

Cheers

Brian

Unless you are super hard on bindings orvreally need the higher din, then you could probably swap the jester option for a griffon.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@brianr, Marker are traditionally harder to step into. Personally, I would go with the Salomon Warden as they work with any boot.

Thanks @stuarth, I don't need the highr din and aware the Griffon's are a pretty popular binding, worth the extra £67?

I've got the Look SPX on a couple of pairs of skis and get on really well with them and the latest versions are easier to step in/out as well, good elasticity/retention too Very Happy

Warden or Look SPX12 WTR, avoid Z12s and the cheaper markers.

Out of interest, why? I have them on my Atomic Vantage 90's and they seem fine. Should I be worried?
