Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Extreme sport insurance and carte neige

 Poster: A snowHead

Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere on this forum but I have searched for it and not come up with all I want to find out.

Firstly, has anything changed because of Brexic yet? I've just renewed my EHIC card and I couldn't find anything there. I'm going to get carte neige at the resort and I have my extreme sports insurance through my bank account. I am a punter only going for a week in Feb and maybe another week later.

Am I over covered or sufficiently covered. In particular I'm not really sure of the value of carte neige or what it does, although I have bought it for the last two years. I would appreciate any simple advice and opinions. I've got bogged down with some of the official web sites.

Thanks all.

Nothing has changed because of Brexit because we haven't actually left the EU yet.

I just take my E111 card 9when I remember to renew it) and have travel insurance that includes snowsports. Unless you're doing anything particularly extreme then I would have thought you have ample cover there.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

EHIC plus Carte Neige plus holiday insurance covers all bases I think. You might want to check to see what cover you have off-piste (without a guide), but if you ski on piste you have all the cover you need.
