Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Im looking for a Primaloft midlayer with pit vents..
Currently i have a burton ak which is about 6 years but i cannot find any manufacturer currently putting pit vents in their midlayer range...
Flyflo in america is the only one ive been told about....
Does anyone know of any manufacturer doing this....
Im definately intetested in discovering the lesser known brands from around the world and not just the biggies like northface and arc'teryx
Obviously

You might be better off with a primaloft vest under a shell jacket with vents.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

That has been suggested but i like to lose the shell when the weather allows and a t Apres and use the midlayer as a jacket in milder months

I do the same with a windproof fleece that has pit zips. If it's really cold I just put on more midlayers. (normally Merino wool)
Don't like taking any tech clothing into smokey Apres Ski places.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Why not get a combination jacket aka - Black Diamond Access LT / LT Hybrid . . .has synthetic mesh under armpits. Cheap at Alpinetrek.co.uk
I've just bought a Patagonia Nano Air from John Lewis at a good price. . .meant to be mega breathable and toasty under a shell - will report back in a few weeks! . . .Older spec nano Puff also available with hood - less breathable but more wind resistance - both have good reviews

You could also get a primaloft jacket and ask some one like this to alter it.

I've a friend who has one of those Nano air jackets - reckons it's the best piece that he's ever owned (NB he is sponsored by them but is truthful about their kit)
